Embossing involves creating a three-dimensional image by pressing a hot metal plate into a material, resulting in a raised design. On the other hand, debossing uses the same process, but the image is pressed downwards into the material, leaving an indented imprint on the item. Foil stamping is another technique that leverages heated plates and coloured foil to transfer intricate designs onto surfaces. Combining foil stamping with embossing can result in visually appealing 3D effects. These decorative techniques are particularly well-suited for enhancing the look of leather goods.
